Our Story
Oozoni started with a frustrating travel experience. Our founders landed in a new city, armed with nothing but generic tourist recommendations, and ended up spending a week in the same spots as every other visitor. The food was mediocre, the "hidden" spots were packed with tour buses, and the real city remained just out of reach.
They knew there had to be a better way. What if you could just ask a local? Not a hotel concierge with a commission, not an algorithm — a real person who lives there, loves it, and wants to share it.
That idea became Oozoni. Named after the Japanese word for a traditional New Year's soup that varies by region — a reminder that the most meaningful things in life are deeply local — Oozoni is built to celebrate what makes each place unique.
